Story

The Lion Caged (Vol I)

After the battle, Kirth is a prisoner with several Lannister soldiers. One whispers, "I've got a knife. Cut me free and I'll help you escape."

Lannister Soldier

"I can't reach the knife, fool. Take it, they missed it when they searched me! Ser Jaime's stuck, but you and I don't have to rot here with him."

Truthful

Get the knife and cut the soldier's bonds.

Protest that it's wrong to escape and leave the Kingslayer captured.

Lannister Soldier

"You've got no chance of getting to him, boy. The Starks have guarded him tighter than a virgin the night before her wedding. Save yourself."

Family

Insist on helping Ser Jaime once both are freed.

Inquire about what his plan is once freed.

Lannister Soldier

The Lannister camps aren't far, at least the one on this side of the river. We're safe once we're there... we all but hold the Riverlands, still!"

Cunning

Use the knife and make a quieter escape, leaving the soldier behind.

Results

The soldier takes the knife in turn, and cuts Kirth free. "Go!" A soldier sees them running, but they make it to the darkness of the woods and safety.
"Idiot," the soldier snarls, but leads Kirth to where Ser Jaime is being held. Within steps of the tent, they are spotted. "Get them!" They barely escape.
Kirth cuts himself free, while the soldier curses at the betrayal. A guard comes to investigate, but Kirth is already running towards the woods and freedom.
