Soothing a Pain - Cleaver

Kirth leads Sandor Clegane, called the Hound, to the cellar where the butcher is hiding. Clegane's burn-scarred face has a distant, distracted cast.

Sandor Clegane

"Ready, Ser Sandor?" asks Kirth. The Hound growls. "I'm no Ser, you lack-witted fool." He draws his sword and grins. "Now let's kill this other fool."

Enter the cellar and kill the butcher.

See if Clegane can be delayed to give the butcher a chance to escape.

Sandor Clegane

"Look at those casks," Kirth says. "Shame to waste a chance for a drink." The Hound nods and smashes one open, then picks up a goblet.

Cunning

Keep Clegane busy while the butcher escapes.

Ask Clegane outright to let the butcher go.

Sandor Clegane

Kirth says, "Let's not do this. He did nothing even if his 'prentice hurt the prince." The Hound grins. "You think the 'prentice hurt Joffrey, fool?"

Truthful

Use force to prevent Clegane from killing the butcher.

Results

Kirth and the Hound walk into the cellar. The butcher begs, tries to run, then dies. Prince Joffrey smiles when they tell him it's done. "So. You are loyal!"
When he finds out, Joffrey yells, "How could you be so stupid?" Kirth flinches. The Hound says, "I'm not stupid," while looking not at Joffrey but at Kirth.
Kirth bars the Hound's way and receives a great clout to the head for his trouble. He wakes much later lying in a sticky pool of the butcher's blood.
