"You don't even know she is who she says! She could be using you!" Ella bursts out. Jon shakes his head. "She can do us no harm if we watch her."

"Eutimio tells me she is a fearsome fighter," Jon answers. Ella reluctantly adds, "The guards and ladies love her stories."

Jon nods, and Ella gathers herself. "She's had a difficult life. It does us honor to offer her a place in [Your House]," she forces herself to say.
"It's a hard life, being a bastard," Ella says softly. Jon nods. "We can't blame her for finding our [lord/lady]. Were I baseborn, I'd look for my family, too."
Jon and Ella both flinch. Jon bows and leave silently, but Ella lingers a moment. "There's more to life than fighting, my [lord/lady]."
