Renly Baratheon is the Lord of Storm's End and the younger brother of King Robert Baratheon and Lord Stannis Baratheon. Renly serves Robert as Master of Laws on the King's Small Council in King's Landing. He is fourth in line to the throne, behind his nephews Joffrey and Tommen and his older brother Stannis. Renly is popular at court because of his friendly manner and keen fashion sense.
When the War of the Five Kings arised,Renly layed claim to the Iron Throne of Westeros,as self-named Robert's heir.He was named the King on the South because of the support he received from the Reach and the Stormlands. His alliance with House Tyrell came from his lover Ser Loras. His Queen was his lover's sister, Margaery Tyrell.Stannis felt that Storm's End was his by right after Robert took the throne, and told Robert several times. In due time the keep was given to Renly.
After Stannis Baratheon's siege of Storm's End,Renly is forced to respond.Meeting in a parley Renly offered Stannis a peach at the same time he mocked and threatened his older brother. The parley does not resolve the situation between the Baratheon Brothers,While Renly prepares for battle he is slain by an animated shadow conjured by Melisandre a Red Priest in service of Stannis.Renly's boddy goes missing and it couldn't be presented as a proof to Ser Courtnay Penrose who denied the surrender of Storm's End to Stannis Baratheon.During the Battle of Blackwater,Ser Garlan Tyrell wears Renly's armour being named "Renly's Ghost".
Renly altered the original colors of the sigil of House Baratheon. Instead of the black crowned stag on a yellow field, Renly's banner displays a golden crowned stag on a field of green, a nod to the color scheme of his new wife's powerful family, House Tyrell.Renly's body was buried by Loras Tyrell on the surroundings of Storm's End,Stannis his older brother often laments Renly's Death remembering several times his peach on the books.
