"That is true," the king says quietly. "Once it was so simpler, good Kirth. There was a foe to be fought, and my lady's love to be won." He says no more.
"We are the vassals of the Baratheons directly," Kirth reminds King Robert, refilling his cup. "Know that you have but to call on us, and we shall answer."
